Mary Nuosce Rich
Mary Nuosce Rich, 102, of Akron, passed away July 15, 2006. Mary was born September 5, 1903 in Krebs, Oklahoma while it was still Indian Territory. She was an Akron resident for over 90 years, where she and her husband Newton worked at both Goodrich and Goodyear. Among Mary's five children, four as well as three grandchildren worked as Akron teachers in fifteen schools. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Newton Rich; sisters, Grace Nuosce and Lucille Wyman; brothers, Dominic (Edna) Nuosce and Joe Nuosce. She is survived by her children, Lucille McNeill Foradas and husband Peter Foradas, Vivian Saccone, Faye Miller, Victor Rich, and Vincent Rich; sisters, Eleanor Berardi and Irene Nuosce; ten grandchildren, Laura and Dan Abrashoff, Mark and Dawn McNeill, Michelle and James Koenig, Mike Miller, Vivette Saccone, Vanessa and Don Spring, Rick and Gena Saccone, Scott Rich, Darrin Rich, Shaun Rich; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons. Mary's children give a special thanks to their sister Faye for taking loving care of their mother for 26 years, the Nativity We Care Group, the Ladies Guild of which Mary was a member, and Father Halaiko. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Nativity Of The Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Rd. Prayers at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
