Mary Rita English

Mary Rita English "Nana", 76, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was a thoughtful, loving, caring wife and mother, who always put others before herself. The strength and compassion she showed to others will always be admired by her family and friends. Mary enjoyed traveling and trips to Myrtle Beach, but her family was her greatest passion.

She has been re-united with her parents, Thomas and Sarah Haley; and sister, Norma Laing, who preceded her in death. Survivors include her beloved husband, Edward, of 55 years; daughters, Shelly (Leon) McCombs and Lori Hohlbaugh; son, Edward T. (Dorothy) English; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Nancy (Bill) McNeil.

Per Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Christ Catholic Church, 2425 Myersvillle, Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nativity of the Lord Jesus Christ Catholic Church.
