Mary Maxine Sigler

Mary Maxine Sigler, 82, of Akron, passed away peacefully at home with family on December 21, 2017. Max was born on December 26, 1934, the daughter of the late William R. and Inez Flick. Max had a very lively and spunky soul and she enjoyed working with people. She treasured her time working at Mcardles and Skyland Pines, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling and crafting of all kinds, dancing, sunbathing and listening to the Cleveland Indians. Mary was very strong willed and had a very caring heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dean T. Sigler; brother, Robert C. Flick; sister, Bernadine Zilis; and grandson, Timothy Dean Roose.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Billie "Dee" (Tim) Roose, and Dean (Sarah) Sigler; grandchildren, Andy (Cassie), Tim "Timmer," Angela and Justina; great-grandchildren, Maximillian and Jocelyn; and brother, as well as many friends and loved ones.

Family and friends will be received for visitation on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 5-7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Family will be holding a wake following calling hours. Max will be laid to rest with her husband at Hillside Memorial Park at a later date.
