Mary Wanda Whitt

Mary Wanda Whitt, 84, went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2017. A long-time Akron resident, she was born on September 7, 1932 in Kimberly, WV. Mary loved her family, enjoyed crafting and was an excellent cook. She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Roy Whitt Sr.; children, Robin Flaker and David Whitt; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers. Mary is survived by children, Sandy (Betsy), Malinda (Jim), Roy (Treania); 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and step-grandchildren/great-grandchildren; and longtime friends Diane, Sheila and Alma.
Visitation will take place on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, from 10:00am-12:00pm. Funeral service will be held at 12:00pm with interment at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron, to follow.
