Maryann Parker-Newhouse

Maryann Parker-Newhouse, 54, passed away on February 15, 2011, after a lengthy illness. She was a very caring and engaging individual and was always ready to laugh. Maryann loved gardening, cooking, watching movies and comedies, and going to the beach. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met and will be missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her father, Jay Parker; and brother, Richard Howell. Survivors include her loving husband, Jeffrey, of 14 years; her mother, Hilda Anderson; daughters, Hannah and Sarah Baker; son, Matt (Amanda) Baker; step-daughters, Emily (Chris) Peterman and Jennifer; step-son, Benjamin (Jenn) Newhouse; sister, Marilyn (Michael) Lackey; brother, Edward Parker; grandchildren, Cameron, Zane, Meaghan, Hunter, Peyton, and grandson-to-be, Garrett. Calling hours will be Friday, 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
