Marylou Silvers

MaryLou Silvers, 90, passed away September 12, 2023 at her home. Born in Akron, Ohio to William and Mary (Tensuak) Benner, she lived in the Tallmadge/Brimfield area most of her life. She loved traveling the world, her favorites being Italy, London and Venice. MaryLou also enjoyed working in her yard, planting flowers and relaxing by the pool. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. MaryLou never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; siblings, William, Glenn and Jean Benner; dear companion, Tony Gatto. She will be sadly missed by her children, Tom Silvers, Karen (Mike) Shriner, Bob (Jackie) Silvers; grandchildren, Nicole Yamokoski, Mike Shriner, Bob Silvers, Tiffany Silvers; great grandchildren, Evan, Lexi, Lydia, Bella, Kye, Mia, Savannah, Arabella.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations in MaryLou's name to the charity of their choice.
