Max Q. Jones

Max Quinton Jones, born May 1941, loving son of Thomas B. Jones and Rose McWhirk Jones, passed away March 30, 2018. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Chrystal and Dan Hoffman and three grandchildren of Marion, OH, brother, Martin of Stow, sister, Bonnie Durst of Tallmadge, brother & sister-in-law, Charles and Dorie of Mogadore, and brother, Daniel of Tallmadge.
Max was born in Marion, Ohio. Later the family moved to Cuyahoga Falls, and Stow, OH. Max enjoyed many summers on his grandparent's farm in Mt. Gilead, OH. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis on the battleship, Forest Royal. After receiving his honorable discharge, he returned to Stow working in maintenance for L & R Cleaners of Tallmadge.
Upon retirement, he lived comfortably at the Fred Nimmer Place in Akron, OH meeting new friends, enjoying his hobbies, bicycling, stamp/coin collecting and telling never ending jokes. Most of all, Max loved to openly share his Christian beliefs to everyone he met and to help others receive Christ in their lives.
