Maxine C. Lewis
September 26, 1919 — February 23, 2016
Maxine C. Lewis, 96, passed February 23, 2016. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Herb, sons Joel and Steve. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Lewis (Gary C. Noland); granddaughter, Jenifer Statler; and three great-grandchildren.
As a longstanding Deacon of her church, Maxine coordinated many wedding receptions, quilted, and gave countless hours to other programs. Maxine worked with Ellet Good Neighbors, precinct voting, and was a member of two garden clubs. She loved to grow flowers, garden, hike, crochet, and decorative painting.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, February 27, 2016 at North Springfield Presbyterian Church, 671 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maxine's church.
