Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away April 6, 2006 at Heather Knoll Nursing Home following a short illness. She was born March 10, 1910 in Kentucky and spent nearly all her life in Akron working for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for nearly 40 years retiring in 1972. She was a longtime member of the New Horizons Christian Church which she loved dearly. She was a fun loving life of the party trying to keep everyone laughing. She was preceded in death by John, her husband of 70 years and her parents, Mr. & Mrs. William Tinnell and 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She leaves 3 children, Donna Cunha (Elvino) of Cuyahoga Falls, Carla Wellman of Cuyahoga Falls and Ronald Lezak of San Jose, Calif.; 3 grandchildren, Eric Lezak of L.A. Calif.; Tamar Lezak of Carlsbad, Calif. and Cristina (Don) Parsons of Washington, D.C.; 3 great-grandchildren, Caitlinrose Lezak, Samantha Lezak and Madalena Parsons; many nieces and nephews and special friend, Dave Ferrell. Calling hours will be Monday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Horizons Chrisitan Church, 290 Darrow Rd. with Rev. Jim Bane officiating, visitation one hour prior to service. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
