Maynard Lazar, II, "Took", age 68 of Lakemore, Ohio, died on Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home.
Took was born on June 22, 1948 in Akron, the son of the late Maynard and Pearl Davis Lazar.
He was a member of the BAC Local Union #07 as a tile setter. He was a musician, he played the organ and sang in several local bands. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, horseshoes, shooting skeet, and computers. He was a member of the Mogadore Moose and the Akron Turner Clubs.
Survivors include his sons, Spencer D. (Renee) Lazar and Eric C. (Cheryl) Lazar; four grandchildren, Brent, Devin, Xavier, and Desmond; and his siblings, Daniel M. Lazar, Emily Mitchell, and Marsha (Kerry) Klinger; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, Took was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Lee Might.
Memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM, where family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association in Maynard's memory.
