Melanie B. Caudill

Melanie B. Caudill, 45, went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of the Akron area. She loved riding on the back of her husband's Harley and loved her profession as a RN for many years. Melanie worked at The Cleveland Clinic, Mercy Hospital, Summa (City) Hospital, and lastly as an ER nurse for Akron General Hospital. She had an infectious smile that inspired many people.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Large and Florence Smith; grandmother, Dorothy Ricks; and uncle, Johnny Ricks. Melanie leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Jeremy; children, Natalie and Jonathan Lockard; step-children, Dylan and Jeremy "J.R." Caudill; parents, John and Winona Large; aunt, Roxanne Ricks; grandfather, John (Marie) Ricks; cousins, Taylor and James; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday November 1, 2018 from 10am-1pm with the funeral service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Pastor Dave Duma officiating. Interment Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Kids Crushing Cancer
