Melvin L. Brown, 70, of Stow, Ohio went peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday November 5th 2020. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 5, 1950. He enjoyed all things Pittsburgh related, including the Steelers and Pirates. He was a very proud Army Veteran and avid golfer. He was a loving son, husband, father, uncle and grandfather. When he was not on the golf course, he was cheering on his grandkids. Whether it was on the stage, a track, on the lake, in the field or on a court, he was there.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Darlene; Mother, Frances; Son, Steven (Candee); and Daughter, Autumn (Alan); Grandchildren, Ashley (Matthew), Courtney, Caleb and Allie; Close Friend, Bill (Sandra); and 4 siblings.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Fred Brown.
Friends and Family are invited to visit on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Due to Covid 19 concerns please expect to wear masks and practice social distancing.
