Melvin B. Fleming
Melvin B. Fleming, 84, passed away on June 25, 2006. Born August 5, 1921 in Centralia, WV to the late Charlie and Gracie Fleming. Melvin served with the US Army and retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. after 32 years of service. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed music, cars, and electronics. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Linda Carol Fleming; brother Frank; and sister Jodie. Survivors include his loving wife Gladys of 61 years; daughter Jayne (Mike) Stahr; and sister Christine Curtis. Calling hours will be Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service immediately following at 1 p.m., Pastor Phil Hulgin officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
