Merlin B. "Merty" Dubravetz, 66, went home to be with the Lord on June 15, 2012.
Merlin was born on September 27, 1945 to the late Alex and Irene Dubravetz. He retired from Forest City Dillon Pre Cast. Merlin was a compassionate, gentle-souled man. He always put the feelings of others before his own. Merlin enjoyed sports, fishing, family and friends, and had a passion for landscaping and gardening.
Preceded in death by his sister, Carol; and niece, Becky; grandmother, Eva McFadden. He will be deeply missed by brother, John (Sally); sister, Mary White; sister and lifelong best friend, Irene Myers; special favorite nieces, Jodi Johnson and Kimberly Myers; favorite nephew, Gary Dubravetz; numerous other nieces, nephews, beloved relatives and friends; and good friend, Charlie.
Calling hours will be Thursday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Millheim Baptist Church, 2661 Hayne Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
