Michael F. Antal

Michael F. Antal, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lovingly known to many as "Big Mike", he was born on May 21, 1953 in Barberton, Ohio; the son of the late Daniel and Mary Antal.

Michael graduated from Barberton High School in 1971. At the age of 16 he began to build a career as a retail manager for multiple organizations, starting with JCPenny in Barberton. Throughout those 48 years, he grew into his God given gifts of leading, influencing, and providing a number of employees a work environment to thrive in.

After retiring from Big Lots in 2018, he devoted his new found time making memories with his 5 children, 10 grandchildren, his brothers, and his nieces and nephews.

Michael will always be remembered for opening his home and heart to anyone in need. Whatever the moment required, he would lovingly listen, share his wisdom and support in his words, and the most appreciated thing- give the best hugs. His warmth of smile and genuine kindness impacted so many people on his earthly journey.

Michael's faith and family were the most important aspects in his daily routine. In 2020, Michael joined Radiant Life Church and became a beloved member and servant to the church and his Church Family.

He was preceded by in death by his father Daniel John Antal, his mother, Mary Antal, and his brother Tom Antal.

Michael Antal is survived by his wife Lynda, his children: Angela Naik, Michael (Elizabeth), Brian (Nicole), Sarah James (Dale), and Meredith (Hector). Grandchildren Brandon, Maya, Jayden, Abigail, Lance, Eliana, Gunnar, Zorina, Molly, and Ruby. Brothers Daniel, George, and Paul.
