Michael Lynn Covington

Michael "Beave" Lynn Covington, 49, of Akron, went Home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2018. Michael was born in Akron, Ohio on September 20, 1968 to Mitzie and Everett "Jimmy" Covington. Michael had a love of music, cars and dearly admired his family. He was a true "ladies man" who enjoyed socializing.

He was preceded in death by his father Everett "Jimmy" Covington; son Darshawn Montral; grandmother Pauline Long; aunt Margaret (Sam) Fulton; sister Carolann Covington; brother Billy Covington; special sister-in-law Edna Covington and best friend Brent Hubbard.

Michael will be dearly missed by his mother Mitzie Covington, with whom he shared a very special bond; his children, Michael Covington, Jr., Tramonte Thornton, Cia Lynn McGee and Lauren McGee; siblings Jimmy Long, Larry Covington, Bobby (Rochelle) Covington and Gary (Raquel) Covington; best friend Jamie "Smov" Patterson; and a host of nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Family and friends may call on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 1-2 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 pm with Pastor Derwood F.
