Michael Alan Engelhart

Michael Alan Engelhart, 62, passed away on July 22, 2018. He made a lot of friends during his 16 years at Signet Jewelers. Mike spent many hours volunteering with the EAAA and EBA as a coach and equipment manager. His biggest joy in life was watching his children and now grandchildren play sports. Games will not be the same without grandpa.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Melissa Engelhart; and father, Robert Engelhart. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Cathy; children, Dawn (Marty) Whims; Michael Engelhart; Emily (Justin) Engelhart; and Nathan Engelhart; mother, Sharon Engelhart; sister, Marla (Dave) Edwards; brother, Mark (Patti) Engelhart; mother in-law, Barbara Lute; grandchildren, Jacoby, Mckenna, Zachary, Hannah, Braden and Ryan; best friend, Earl Elliott Jr; and a host of relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday July 26, 2018 from 5-8pm and funeral service will be held on Friday July 27, 2018 at 10am at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Pastor Gary Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Ellet Baseball Association, 2204 E. Market St., Akron OH 44312.
