Michael P. Fox, 58, passed away on April 13, 2022. A lifelong resident of Akron, he dedicated his career to serving the community as a police officer and crime scene detective. In addition to being a passionate public servant, he was a loving and dedicated father, brother, and son. He had broad and expansive knowledge with a notable depth for anthropology. While often reserved, those closest to him appreciated his storytelling ability and quick wit.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Rosemary (Kline) Fox, his stepbrothers Ralph and Robert Kyle. He will be dearly missed by his children Michael, Jonathan, Katherine, and Joseph; siblings Mary (Brian) Riemenschneider, Willard (Joan) Fox, and John Fox; nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, April 18, 2022 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. at Newcomer. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Michael's name to the Fraternal Order of Police.
