Michael A. Hunter

Michael A. Hunter, 59, passed away February 17, 2025 with family by his side. Born in Lima, Ohio to Richard and Carolyn Hunter, he resided in Akron the past 28 years. He worked at the Department of Defense in Cleveland. Mike belonged to Riverfront Community Band in Cuyahoga Falls, where he played the trombone. He loved sci-fi and greatly enjoyed playing computer games, playing bass guitar and other instruments, collecting music memorabilia and board games and spending time with his family and pets.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Leis. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 28 years, Jennifer Hunter; children, Kerry Ruocchio, Logan Hunter; grandsons, Maverick (Wheatley) Kerezsi, Dylan Kerezsi; sisters, Denise Hunter, Melanie (Ron) Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 50 N. Prospect St. in Akron. The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Mike's name to DLM Food & Resources at Holy Trinity Church.
