Michael James Carmack
Michael James Carmack left this life on April 16, 2015 at the age of 25. This sweet and gentle soul will be deeply missed by those who knew him. He loved attending school at Seiberling Elementary and Hyre Junior High and was extremely proud to have graduated from Ellet High School in 2009.
Michael loved music. He first became a Jimmy Buffett fan at the age of three and later became a huge fan of country music. He attended several concerts of his favorite musicians: Jimmy Buffett, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, and Alan Jackson. You could always spot Michael in the crowd for he was always wearing one of his many cowboy hats. He memorized the lyrics to every song by all of his favorite singers and enjoyed going to sing karaoke. Twice he got up on stage at Akron's Lock 3 to sing a Jimmy Buffett song with the tribute band Gypsies in the Palace before thousands. He loved traveling to visit his mom in Myrtle Beach and enjoying the beach, the pool, and putt putt golf.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Gloria Carmack and Janet D. Mikula. He is survived by his parents, Robert Carmack and Shelly Carmack; sister, April (Peter) Baez; brother, Matthew Carmack; grandfathers, Perry Demming and Louis Mikula; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, April 20, 2015 from 5-7 followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service with Pastor William Liming Jr. officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Michael will be laid to rest at Tallmadge Cemetery at a later date.
