Michael Louis Kelly, 63, of New Franklin, passed away on January 27, 2023. He was born on May 24, 1959 to Fay {Shepherd} Kelly and the late Robert J. Kelly.
In addition to his father, Mike was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Carol Hemming.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Susie; son, Jonathon Carmichael; grandson Bailey Carmichael; mother Fay Kelly; sister Michele Hensley; brother David Kelly; nephew Jacob (Amanda) Hensley, great niece Maci; brothers-in-law Tom (Faye) Cusma and John Cusma; sister-in-law Pat Cusma. Aunt Jeanette Clark, Judy Kelly and Geri Kelly; cousins Phil, Joe (Kim) and Gary Clark and Teresa (Mark) Pastor.
Mike worked in construction for many years and was so proud of the houses he helped to build, including a log house that was the topic of many of his stories. He was recently retired from building maintenance after many years of service at Friendship Terrace. Sarcasm was definitely his love language, he was dependable and always available when you needed him. He was rough around the edges, totally stubborn and never failed to speak his mind. For those that knew him, loved him. He was the most loyal husband and not a day passed that his wife Susie didn't feel his love. He was a great father to Jonathon and a surrogate father to many, including his Brazilian sons, Gustavo, Flavio and Juliano. Mike was the coolest grandpa, and was so proud of his grandson Bailey, who he loved very much. Mike loved to laugh and his sense of humor was contagious. He was a great husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Akron, OH 44305 on Saturday, February 4 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A celebration of Mike's life will be held at Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club, 4551 Dustys Road, New Franklin, OH 44319 on February 26, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's memory may be made to The Akron Children's Hospital CF Care Fund, 215 West Bowery Street, Level 6, Akron, Ohio 44308.
