Michael P. Kovach passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 after battling a brief illness. Mike was born on August 29, 1973 in Akron, OH to Paul and Nancy Kovach and was raised in Goodyear Heights, where he rode his bike proudly and played a mean game of kickball. He grew up as a member of Goodyear Hts. Presbyterian Church's youth group and would eventually discover his dad's interests in golfing, bowling, fishing and puzzles. He worked at the Triple Crown Restaurant early on and eventually began working at Diebold and Securitas Electronic Security as a Pre Fab Technician. He had many friends. He loved watching the Indians, Browns, Cavs, Bucks and NASCAR. He enjoyed occasional trips to Mountaineer Casino with his family. He was a better cook than he got credit for, using Mom's recipes. You could depend on him to bring his "Dirt" dessert to any party. The Randolph Fair was the highlight of his year, along with the Italian sausages, gyros, lemonade and demo derby. Mike was a humble young man with a caring heart and he was selfless in the way he cared for Mom & Dad in their later years.
He is survived by his Brother, David (Paula) Kovach, nephew Caleb and niece Grace, and many cousins near and far. Thanks to everybody for contacting us in the past weeks.
We're going to plan a celebration of Mike's life in the Spring. We'll let everyone know.
My salvation and my honor depend on God
he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Psalm 62:7
