Michael Troy Myers

Michael Troy Myers, 74, of Akron passed away on May 7, 2024. He was born in Akron on June 19, 1949, to the late Edwin and Helen Myers. He graduated from special education Springfield High School. He was an avid fisherman. Mike was the greatest coffee maker at the AA meetings. He enjoyed being apart of the groups all over Akron. He never met a stranger in AA; he considered them all family.

Mike is survived by his brother Thomas Myers; sisters Sandra Grunz, and Jeanie Weston; his nephews, who were a big part of his life, Mick Boso, and Larry Boso, Eric Myers, Matthew Myers; nieces Angela Patterson Tammy, Trina Grunz ; great-nephews Jerry Boso, Trevor Boso, Dominic Matthews, Dillon Matthews, and Edwin Boso; great-niece Katie Baskey, Lillian Boso, Violet Boso, and Annabelle Boso, whom he never stopped thinking about; and all his friends from AA.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his nephew Edwin Boso, and Larry Boso III.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Church on the Boulevard in Kenmore. Visitation will be held from 12-1 PM prior to the service in the church. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery of Mogadore.
