Michael Milton Rowe, 78, went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2020. He served in Viet Nam and was a Sergeant combat instructor. His awards consist of the Silver Star, Purple Heart and 47 other citations. Mike was of service to the USMC toys for tots for 52 years. He also served over hundreds of military funerals for his brothers and sister at arms.
His sense of style was very unique and did not go unnoticed on the golf course. His flair of hats was the talk of the town.
Mike was preceded in death by mother, Georgia; father, Ambrose; sister, Jackie; brothers, Bob, Bill; son in-law, Brian. He will be sadly missed by children, Michelle, Mickey (Kim), Mark (Diane), Mellanie (David); grandchildren, Jennifer, Jaimie, Jackie, Sean, Joshua; great grandchildren, Kendra, Jake, Ayden, Bella, Eli, Jewals, Tristan, Gianni; brothers, Dan (Michelle), Lenny (Sandy); sisters, Judy (Mike), Maryanne, Patty; over 40 nieces and nephews; girlfriend of 30 years, Becky.
Calling hours and service at Newcomer, Akron chapel will be private due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Interment will take place at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls with military honors. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Mike's name to the Toys For Tots Foundation.
Michael's favorite saying was "Love ya like a ham sandwich".
