Michael Allen Servantes

Michael A. Servantes, 56, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Monday, August 15th, 2022. Born to Richard and Dorothy Servantes on June 2nd, 1966, in Illinois, Michael loved growing up in Chicago. He lived there until he moved to Ohio to attend Kent State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He was described by all who knew him as having a zest for life. He was a dedicated gymnastics coach and gymnast for his entire adult life, and his love for coaching at The Elite Gymnastics Academy truly showed. He touched the lives of countless young people, in and out of the gym. Michael was a dad to every kid who came through his door and into his life. He was passionate about many things, including but not limited to the beach and surfing, motorcycles, and working with computers. He is preceded in death by his parents, and survived by siblings Richard Servantes III, Renee (Louis) Rociola, Mark Servantes I, Jeffrey Servantes, and Beth Ann (Kevin) O'Kasick; devoted children Andrew Saltzman, Connor Servantes, and Austin (Natalie) Servantes; mother of his children, Jill Saltzman; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Michael was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, friend, and coach who gave so much to so many, and his infectious smile will be forever missed by all of his family and friends.
