Michael L. Townsend, "Mike", age 41 of Akron, Ohio, died suddenly at his home on Sunday, November 10, 2019.
He was born on May 22, 1978 in Akron, the son of the late Gary and Linda (nee Hrubik) Townsend.
Mike enjoyed vacations, playing chess, being a spectator at his children's sporting events, and driving.
Survivors include his wife, the former Michelle Pribonic, whom he married on July 30, 2005; his children, Michael J., Brandon, and Kaylee Townsend; his siblings, Robin (Kevin) Henterly, Glen (Dana) Townsend, Daniel Townsend, and Tracy (Shaun) Koher; and his wife's parents, James and Nancy (nee Jackson) Pribonic and his grandmother-in-law, Cora Lee Jackson; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friend who mourn his loss also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where family and friends may visit from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.
Following services, Mike will be cremated.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray the costs of the funeral services.
