Michael E. Vargo

Michael Eugene Vargo, 62, of Akron, Ohio passed away on April 22, 2024. Mike was born in Akron, Ohio on June 15, 1961.
His working career he was a "Jack of All Trades". He could repair everything from small engines, upholstery, siding, roofing, painter, and specializing in fire restoration projects.
Mike's hobbies varied as greatly as his work life. Cheering on the Browns and Cavaliers and all things Cleveland. He spent hours building and painting model cars and trucks. He played a mean game of chess, loved motorcycles and any day spent fishing was a perfect day. Mike was an avid music lover and enjoyed listening to Bob Seger, Lynard Skynyrd and Kiss were among his favorites.
Mike's generosity even in his last days was to be admired through his pain he would be sure to treat all the ladies at bingo with candy.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Vanessa Vargo; father Anthony Lorkowski; and brother Theodore Vargo.
Mike is survived by his mother Judith Lorkowski; brothers Gerald Lorkowski and Greg Hyer; sisters Theresa (Tom) Holman and Toni (Randy) Edwards; as well as many nieces, nephews and cherished lifelong friends.
Per Mike's wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be announced by the family at a later date.
As many of you know Mike had a great love of dogs. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to your local animal shelter or rescue to aid in their mission to care for so many homeless animals in our area.
