Michael Wayne Burcham, 50, of Brimfield Twp., passed away suddenly on December 12, 2013. Michael was born in Akron on July 26, 1963. He was a car enthusiast and loved collecting and restoring antiques. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He had a great sense of humor and was known to play pranks on family and friends. Mike had a generous spirit and was always there to help anyone in need. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Burcham Sr.; grandparents, Mildred and Porter Burcham and Grandpa Swan; uncle, Robert Burcham; and niece, Melissa Stover.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Burcham; siblings, Ron (Rose) Haynes, Dorothy (Dale) Stover, Joe Burcham Jr., Terri (Tom) Gear, and Tim (Chris) Burcham; aunt, Beth Burcham; uncles; John Burcham Sr., Jimmy (Mitzie) Burcham and Harold (Sue) Burcham, Emory and Ernie Swan; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Mike also leaves his two beloved dogs, Priscilla and Josie.
Visitation will be Monday, December 16 from 4-6 followed by a 6:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
Interment will take place on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Park. Everyone please meet in the cemetery parking lot.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mike's family.
