Michael Wyatt Cole
Michael Wyatt Cole, 56, of Akron, passed away at home on August 13, 2013. He was born in Akron on April 25, 1957 to John and Katherine Cole.
Mike worked as a machinist throughout his life, ending his career at P&P Mold. He enjoyed spending time with family, hanging with friends in the garage, camping, and fishing. He especially loved coaching softball and was known as "Coach Mike" around the ballfield. He ended his coaching career on a high note, winning the 2013 Eastern Nationals.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, John. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Mary Anne; daughters, Anna Cole and Ashley Cole (Mike); mother, Katherine Cole; sister, Diane (Ken) Barton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ron (Meg) Shaffer, Frank (Becky) Shaffer, Dennis (Charlene) Shaffer, Patti (Jim) Gross, Karen (Nick) Kostoff, Rita Shaffer (Jeff), Brian (Denise) Shaffer; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday August 17 from 2-6 followed by a 6:00 p.m. celebration of Mike's life at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
