Michele Barley, 62, passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2022. Born in Akron, Ohio to Jack and Donna (Simison) Gordon, she was a lifelong area resident. Michele enjoyed cooking, camping, boating, traveling, music, watching football, especially the Browns and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Schreiber. Michele will be sadly missed by her husband of 30 years, Mike; daughter, Sandi Althof; grandchildren, Sully, Paige; mother, Donna Gordon; siblings, Kae (Jim) Schroeder, Robin (Mike) Schwerdtfeger, Jeff Gordon; nieces, nephews and friends, who became family to her.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a celebration of Michele's life Friday, July 15, 2022 from 4 to 10 p.m. at Upper Water Works Park, 2827 Sanitarium Rd. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Michele's name to the Humane Society of Summit County.
