MIKE WUCHICH
Mike Wuchich, 85, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on September 4, 2001 after a long illness. He was born March 2, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Paul & Mary Wuchich. Mike was a resident of Akron for most of his life. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 35 years of service as a Tire Builder, was a member of Barberton Civitan Club, Eagle Club 555, and the 25 year club at Goodyear. He was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed fishing and listening to the Indians games. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Velda (Hetrick) Wuchich; daughters Merle Ann (Sidney) Blankenship, Karen Wuchich; grandchildren Mike (Evelyn) Kittle, Gary (Janice) Kittle, Dana Kittle, Jerry Blankenship; brother Walter (Helen) Wuchich of Mansfield; 7 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; special friends Brigitte Kern, Dorothy Collins, Marie Weese; brothers-in-law Dale (Chris) Hetrick, Merle Hetrick. Friends may call Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Keys officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be sent to Alzheimers Association, 1815 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44313
