Mildred E. (Millie) Tomkinson
Mildred E. Tomkinson, 96, passed away March 12, 2010. Mildred was born in Akron on May 20, 1913. She graduated from University of Akron, where she belonged to the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha. She retired from the Western Reserve Girl Scout Council as office manager and was a member of Church of Our Savior in Akron. Mildred is survived by her niece, Pat (Dan) Henry; great-niece, Denise (Carl) Stout and great-great-nieces and nephew, Danielle, Jenna, and Cody Stout. The family wishes to thank the nurses and aides from Traditions at Bath Road and Hospice of VNS for all their care. Family and friends may call Monday from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Burial Park.
