Mildred J. (Warren) Krstich, 86, resident of the Ellet area, found peace with the Lord on December 29, 2001 following a long illness. Born on a farm in Pleasantville, TN on June 19, 1915, she lived most of her life in Akron. She was a 1939 graduate of the State Teacher's College, Murfreesboro, TN. Mildred taught elementary children before coming to Akron. She married Nicholas J. Krstich in 1943. She retired after many years with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. She attended St. Paul Episcopal Church and The Chapel. Her husband of 25 years, Nicholas J., parents, Ambrose and Annice Warren, and sister Louise Taylor, preceded Mildred in death. Sons Joseph W. (Kelley) Krstich and family, of Johnstown, OH; Donald L. (Tana) Krstich and family, of Charlottesville, VA; and Michael (Valarie) Krstich of Cincinnati, OH survive her. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as several very close friends. Mildred was a kind person who enjoyed her family and friends. She was an avid reader, loved cooking, shopping, and her flower garden. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2002 at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. the same day. Interment will be in the Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.
