Mildred Mishler "Grandma Sparky"
Mildred Mishler "Grandma Sparky", 93, passed away on June 7, 2013. She was born on June 4, 1920 in Berlin, PA.
Preceded in death by her parents, Solomon and Mary Brant; her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Irvin; sisters, Grace Murray, Dolly Moore, Mary Mishler and Mae Baker; brother, Roy Brant.
She is survived by son, Blaine (Mabel) Mishler, of VA; daughter, Elaine (Larry) Hembury, of Akron; grandchildren, Heather (Xan Campbell) Mishler, Sonya (Ernie) Cole, Jennifer (Jeff) Williams, Jason (Tamara) Hembury; great-grandchildren, Britney and Kaitlyn Campbell, Bradley and Jacob Cole, Jordan and Justin Williams, Tyler and Ethan Hembury; sister, Betty Dietz; brothers, James (Rayetta) Brant and John Brant.
She was a dedicated servant of the Lord and a member of East Market Street Church of God. She will be remembered for her beautiful flower gardens and her love of quilting. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carolyn "Boss" and Eddie McCabe for opening up their home to her and taking such excellent, loving care of her, and also to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, Patty Latham and Laura Zink.
Calling hours will be Monday, 5-8 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Barry French officiating. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
