Mildred June (Shook) Wagner, age 87, departed this life on March 2, 2019 with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Akron, Ohio on June 23, 1931. She graduated from Cuyahoga High School in 1950.
She was a dancer for 50 years, originally instructed as a child through Charles Boyd Studios. In her Late 60's she formed her own dance group called "June's Senior Stutters", all the women in this group were between 65 and 80 years of age.
Mildred was preceeded in death by her parents, Karl and Irene (Medkeff) Shook; and her granddaughter, Christina Ann Detwiler.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Gerald Wagner. She also leaves behind her siblings, Karen Ricker and Karl (Shirley) Shook; and her children, Sherry Wagner, Merilee (Bob) Sipos, Rick Wagner and Steve Wagner; her stepsons, Jerry (Joan) Wagner, Chuck (Carrie) Wagner, along with 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 14th, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls OH 44221. A Memorial Mass will be held, the same day, directly following calling hours at 11:00 AM.
Her family would like to personally thank the entire staff in the Palliative/Hospice Care Unit at Akron City.
