Milton Leeman "Moe" Jackson, age 90, lifelong resident of Akron and Navy Reserve Veteran, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 3, 2020.
Moe was the only son of the late William A. and Mary S. Jackson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mrs. Janet F. Jackson and daughters, Mary Alice (Danny) Slusser of Canton, Marcy Knabe (Tommy Cartmell) of Baton Rouge, and Rhonda Hartzell (Richard) of Akron, as well as, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Moe is predeceased by his sister, Violet Black (Jim); and survived by sisters, Sue Evans (Ron), Nancy Williams (Bill), and Betty Mullins (Terry Dedinsky), and many adoring and nieces and nephews. Moe will also be fondly remembered by his brothers- and sisters-in-law.
Moe was known as a hard-working man who was proud of his 40 years employed at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s racing tire division. In addition to passing his strong work ethic on to his daughters, they remember him as a dedicated and loving father, who always made time for them, and taught them many valuable life lessons.
Moe enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales, and finding a good deal. His grandchildren remember him for his love of old cars and bicycles, as well as, his unwavering support of their education, jobs, and sports.
Moe had a smile that would light up a room. He touched many lives during his journey here on earth and has left many notable memories with all who knew him.
The family is especially grateful for granddaughter, Shawnna Beyer, who was his caregiver and comforter during his final days.
A celebration of his life will be held at a time to be determined.
