Miriam L. Casher, 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, after an extended illness. Born September 12, 1926, in Akron, OH. She was the daughter of the late Myra and Henry, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred B. Casher; and brother, Roland. She is survived by daughters, Melodye (Jack) Colando, Valerie "Cookie" (Nick) Schreckengost, Sherie Hammond; sons, Gary (Sue) and Michael (Kim) Rusu; stepdaughter, Susan (Glenn) McEwen; brother, Henry, Jr. Miriam loved all of her grandchildren, but was a very special grandmother to Samantha, Lisa Lou, Brandy, Marc, Michael and Mike, Jr. Other grandchildren include, Johnny, Greg, Melissa, Kaitlynn, Krista, Gary, and Caleb; special great-grandchildren, Ashley, Lexy, Luke, and a host of others; special friends, Tina, Martha, Linda, and Betty; and her beloved cat, Roxy. Miriam loved playing bingo and slots. She retired from Goodyear Middle School in 1995, where she worked in food service. Special thanks to Hospice of Summa and Premier Home Health Care.
