Mitchell W. Carver

Mitchell W. Carver, 82, of Akron, passed away on December 10, 2023. He was born on September 20, 1941 to the late Mitch and Rose {Seminerio} Carver.

In addition to his parents, Mitch was preceded in death by his son William Carver; sister-in-law Judi France.

Mitch is survived by his loving wife, Joan; son, Bob (Rachel)Carver; grandchildren Lauren and Stephen Carver; brother Richard (Linda) Carver; sisters-in-law Marilyn (John) Cernaz and Jani (John) Gray; brother-in-law Rick France; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mitch was a member of the ROTC program at The University of Akron, earning his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Following graduation, Mitch served in the United States Army in Germany from 1964 until 1967, before his honorable discharge as a Captain.

All are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until the memorial service begins at 7:00 p.m. Mitch will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in the springtime, where well-deserved military honors will be held.
