Mitchell A. Griggs

Mitchell (Mitch) A. Griggs, 58, of Tallmadge, passed away July 11, 2018. Mitch was born in Akron, Ohio on March 10, 1960 to the late Billie K. Mullins. He was a brilliant man who could fix anything. Mitch loved to help others more than himself and would drop everything at a moments notice to do so. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, playing guitar, HAM radio and most of all being with his family. Mitch was a dedicated employee of Meggitt, where he worked for 34 years as a Template Maker and Inspector. He was also a faithful member of the Tallmadge Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his step-brother, Rick Mullins.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 36 years, Paula J. Griggs; daughters, Debra (Nathan) Bollman, Victoria (Michael) Walkuski and Mary (David) Gindlesperger; Dad, Hampton Mullins; siblings, Bert Griggs, Debbie (Mike) Combs and Kenneth (Mandy) Mullins; step-siblings, Doug Mullins and Terri Howell; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brianna and Mikey; as well as close friends, Vic and Leonard Pirri.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 11 am-1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 1 pm. Mitch will be laid to rest at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park, Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
