Monte W. Hendrix, 68, of Akron, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. He was born to parents Paul and Thelma Hendrix on November 17, 1951.
Preceding him in death are his father; mother; brother, Daniel Hendrix; great-nephew, Dylan; and sister-in-law, Patricia Hendrix.
Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Clayton; sister, Cindy (Bruce) Kilby; James Hendrix; Paula (Joseph) Ward; nieces, Angela Hendrix, Susan Ward, Julie Ward and great-nephews, Nathan Hendrix, Michael Hendrix, Trevor Hendrix, Raven Ward, Robert (Jennifer) Hendrix and Jeremy (Rebecca) Hendrix; and several other family members.
Monte was a proud Vietnam veteran, having served in the US Army. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Finance from the University of Akron prior to joining the Diebold team for ATM machine servicing as a supervisor. He was a passionate football fan, always cheering for the Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially during the holidays, often considered a Santa Clause by his family. Monte will be dearly missed by his family and his friends.

Private services will be held by the family. He will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
