Morgan James Helmick

Morgan James Helmick "Boo", went home to be reunited with his beloved wife, Myra "Stormy" Helmick on November 29, 2023. Morgan was born in Akron, Ohio on October 28, 1947 to the late Morgan Helmick and Joyce Daniels.
After graduating from East High School, Morgan joined the U.S. Army and proudly served overseas during the Vietnam Conflict. After returning from service, he and Myra married on August 20, 1971. Morgan planned their dream home in Green where they raised their family. He began his career at General Tire and Rubber and later transitioned to construction. He retired from Power Tool Repair in 2009. In his free time, his passion was restoring historical cars. He also loved watching football and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Morgan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Myra "Stormy" Helmick; infant son, Michael Jerome Helmick; and sisters, Pam Sutton, Peggy Schubert, and Tammy Sears.
Morgan will be dearly missed by his sons, Morgan Helmick and Clint (Allison) Helmick; grandchildren, Julianne, Colton, and Evelyn Helmick; sister, Patty (Emery) Owen and daughter, Kimberly (Chad) Cochran; brother-in-law. Joseph P. "Hotrod" (Cathy) Cotton II; many other relatives and friends.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 10:30am-12:30pm with a funeral service to immediately follow. Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park.
