Muriel Eileen Smith
Muriel Eileen Smith, 102, of Fountain Hills, AZ, formerly of Akron, passed away November 30, 2010. Muriel was born on November 22, 1908 in Ivydale, West Virginia to the late David and Olive Stalnaker. She was employed as a seamstress and at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. She moved to Arizona in 1962 and retired from Motorola. Muriel was preceded in death by her sons, Aldo Stalnaker and James Smith; brother, Dave Stalnaker; and grandson, Jimmy Smith. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Marjorie Smith; daughter-in-law, Joan Stalnaker; grandchildren, Linda Williams, Allison (Kenna) Wilson, Arlene Stalnaker, Wayne (Jane) Stalnaker, and Duane Stalnaker; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 12-1:30 followed by a 1:30 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Standing Rock Cemetery.
