Myelica Ann Phelps, 68, of Akron, Ohio went peacefully home to the Lord on March 3, 2024.
Myelica was born on March 30, 1955 to parents, Donald Phelps Sr. and Mary Jones (nee Baker) in Akron, OH. She attended Green High School.
She was preceeded in death by her parents; step-father, Frank Jones; sister, Sandra Reed (Rick); brothers, Andrew (Diane), Ronald Phelps and Marshall Phelps; and nephew, Ryan Phelps.
She is survived by her children, David Barnum (Sue Ellen), Jessica Franklin and Jamie Franklin; grandchildren, Jakob, Sara and Levi Barnum, Mercedes Sams, as well as Christina Mulhollen and Gauge Franklin whom she raised and cherished with all of her heart. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Phelps Jr. (Kathy); nieces, Lesley Burgess, Toni Phelps and Robyn Phelps; nephews, Chad Phelps (Melissa), Ronald Phelps Jr. (Kira) and Bryan Phelps; and many great nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the staff at Pinnacle Nursing Home for their care and compassion over the last several years.
Per Myelica's wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held.
