Nancy (Clapper) High

Nancy (Clapper) High, aged 83, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully from natural causes on January 11, 2025. Born on September 17, 1941, Nancy grew up in Uniontown, Ohio, and was a proud member of the Class of 1959 at Lake High School. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Florence Clapper, son-in-law Rick Bailey, and grandson Brad Bailey.

Nancy leaves behind three loving children: Chris Helems (Conniejo Helems) of Cincinnati, Ohio; Dale Helems (Elizabeth Hene) of Rittman Ohio; and Renee Bailey of Akron, Ohio. Nancy also leaves behind grandchildren Randy, Heidi, Stephanie, Victoria, Jessica, DJ, Amanda, and Amber, as well as 14 great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, Nancy was dedicated to her family, always putting their needs first and offering her unwavering support.

Professionally, Nancy worked as an accountant for several prominent companies, including BF Goodrich, Coastal Tank Lines, and Rosson Signs in Georgia. Her meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic made her a valued colleague and trusted friend to many in the industry.

Nancy will be remembered by those who knew her as an extraordinarily helpful and caring person who always went out of her way to ease the burdens of others. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could light up any room with her laughter and vibrant personality. Nancy had a deep love for cats and found joy in helping friends and family with their accounting needs. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and infectious smile, which brought comfort and happiness to those around her.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal services. Her family and friends will cherish the many fond memories of her life, honoring her spirit by continuing to share the love and laughter she so generously gave.

Nancy High will forever be remembered as a devoted mother, loyal friend, and compassionate soul who touched the lives of everyone she met.
