Nancy Karus, 79, of Akron, passed away August 27, 2017. Nancy was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on July 3, 1938 to the late Stanley and Mary Karus. Nancy retired from the Akron Board of Education. She enjoyed playing golf, going to garage sales and cooking.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her son Mark Calich.
She is survived by daughter, Terri (David) Myers; sister, Mary Ann Rudy; daughter-in-law, Sherri Calich; granddaughters, Jamie and Paige.
Per her request, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Nancy's name to Pay it Forward for Pets, Haven of Rest, or Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary.
