Nancy Gay Martin, 51, of Wadsworth, passed away on October 12, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 24, 1971 to Nancy {Cogar} Green and the late Emory Green. In addition to her father, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister Mary Green.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband Dave; daughter Becky (Andy) Hess; son Rodney Smith Jr.; grandchildren Mekenna and Haeden Hess; sister Stephanie (Tom) Boggs; nephews Steve Boggs and Gage McCreery; nieces Leeanne (Nick) Stoll and Tory Green.
Nancy worked as a Operator for PPG Industries, and was a member of International Chemical Worker's Union Local 1049C. She loved her kids and grandkids more than anything. Nancy also loved to cook and go fishing.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., and again on Friday, October 21 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral services begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth.
