Nancy (West) Steiner
Nancy Steiner, age 77, passed away January 23, 2013 at Pebble Creek Nursing Home in Akron, after a long battle with Parkinsons' disease. Born February 3, 1935 in Akron, to Olive (Ross) and William West. Nancy lived her entire life in the Akron area, and retired as bookkeeper of Tangier Restaurant.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother William; and sister Doris Wolfe. She is survived by daughter Cindy Nagel; grandsons Samuel and Jackson Nagel; brother Jim; sister-in-law and caregiver Kathy West; friends; nieces and nephews.
As Nancy requested, there will be no calling hours. Private graveside services will be held at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinsons Foundation (P.O. Box 271, Tallmadge, OH 44278),or to Autism Speaks (1060 State Road, Princeton, NJ 08540), on behalf of her grandson Jackson.
