Nancy C. Van Waes, age 81 of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, died on December 31, 2018.
She was born on February 26, 1937 in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of the late Carlisle and Katharine (nee Earnst) Evans.
Nancy was a homemaker and enjoyed shopping, bowling, going to craft shows, and reading. Nancy's greatest enjoyment was being with her children and grandchildren. She was the glue that held everyone together.
Survivors include her children, Terri L. (Steven) Beckman, Kathy S. (Michael) Galik, and Robert K. Van Waes; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Other than her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon S. Van Waes on April 3, 2017, they were united in marriage on March 5, 1963; her daughter, Cheryl K. Reynolds; and her brother, Robert R. Evans.
There will be a memorial service at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 130 Broad Blvd., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221, on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM, where Rev. Kirk Bruce will celebrate Nancy's life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church in Nancy's memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
