Nancy J. Williams

Nancy J. Williams (nee Orms), 82, of Akron, passed away August 16, 2018. Nancy was born in Akron, Ohio on August 20, 1935. She was a wonderful wife and great mom. She proudly worked at the downtown O'Neils department store as an elevator operator until leaving work to devote her life to raising her children. Nancy loved to cook, clean and shop, and gladly took on the role as caregiver for her mother-in-law. She was also active in her card club and enjoyed socializing with her many friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Floyd "Gene" Williams and brother, Robert (Julie) Orms.

She is survived by children, Donna Piatt and Rick (Donna) Williams; grandchildren, Nicholas Williams and Christopher (Lorene) Piatt, and brothers, Richard (Bonnie) Orms and Terry (Wanda) Orms.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm.
