Naomi Lee Brantley, 76, of Akron, formerly of Cleveland, passed away on September 14, 2023 at Pleasant View Health Care Center. She was born in Cleveland on July 11, 1947.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hallie Burgan, and sister Elaine Ann Stewart-Campbell.
Naomi is survived by her loving daughter, Deatra Hunt; son, James Hunt; sister Cheryl (Levy) Hicks; grandchildren Naomi Hunt, Tailon Burrell, Avalon (Kevin) Berry, Orion Spikenard, Aurora Spikenard, Avaiya Totten and James Hunt Jr.; 6 great-grandchildren; bonus daughters Natasha Butler and Valerie Lemon; a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Naomi's relationship with her Lord was enduring and unwavering, playing piano and singing His praises at church from the time she was a teenager. Her faith impacted all aspects of her life. She was a retired legal secretary from the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority.
